The Young Entrepreneurs Community Market is a unique initiative that provides aspiring business owners under the age of 18 with a platform to showcase their handmade products, gain valuable business experience, and engage with the community.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

The Young Entrepreneurs Community Market is designed to foster creativity, independence, and entrepreneurship among Alberta's youth. This program empowers young individuals to create, market, and sell their handmade products in a real-world marketplace.

WHY PARTICIPATE?

Participants will:

• Showcase their creations: Gain exposure by presenting their handmade products to over 1,000 market-goers.
• Gain entrepreneurial skills: Learn the ins and outs of running a small business, from customer engagement to sales.
• Receive mentorship: Get guidance from experienced market vendors who will share their insights and experiences.
• Be part of a community: Connect with fellow young entrepreneurs and learn from each other's journeys.
• Benefit from free promotion: Get featured on the market’s social media channels and have your business promoted to the wider Edmonton community.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible to participate, you must:

• Be under 18 years old.
• Reside in Alberta.
• Personally create the products you plan to sell.
• Food vendors must comply with Alberta Health guidelines, including safety, labeling, and packaging requirements.

PROGRAM COSTS
At Next Evolution Ventures, we are committed to making this opportunity accessible to everyone. That’s why there are no participation fees!
However, participants are required to obtain liability insurance, which is available at an affordable rate of approximately $15 per market day through Duuo Insurance.
